HISTORY: Architect Jan Josef Wirch originally built Pachtuv Palace in 1765 for the Pachta family. The Palace was and still is considered *the most fabulous Baroque residence in Prague*. In the early 19th century a classical style rooming house was built adjacent to the palace on the river which was in turn annexed to Pachtuv Palace. Historically the Palace was closely linked to legendary musicians including Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart who resided composed and performed at Pachtuv Palace. The Palace also houses the famous Czech theater *Na zabradli* a more recent addition from the 1970*s. Pachtuv Palace is today a cultural and architectural landmark which has been painstakingly reconstructed to its original grandeur.
